Feminine Hygiene Wash
I originally created this cleanser with intimate areas in mind. While that's still its primary purpose, it can also be beneficial as part of a facial routine. Before creating this product, I used a mixture of coconut oil and baking soda in the shower to clean and moisturize my intimate areas. However, the process of digging out coconut oil and sprinkling baking soda wasn't ideal, even though it was effective and healthy. I couldn't find any commercial soaps with these natural ingredients.
Coconut oil is incredibly soothing and beneficial for the skin. It traps moisture, leaving the skin hydrated. Baking soda, a natural mineral, is alkaline and possesses antifungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties. It also helps balance skin and vaginal pH levels and can lighten skin tone.
Inspired by these benefits, I decided to create a wash that combined these ingredients for everyone's use. All of these ingredients are safe for intimate areas. After experimenting with different formulations, I found the perfect blend to maximize their benefits.
I incorporated arrowroot powder, known for its natural deodorizing and healing properties, which is gentler than baking soda. Jojoba oil, with its pH-balancing and gentle nature, was added to nourish the skin. Beeswax, rich in Vitamin A, protects and regenerates skin while thickening the formula. Finally, tea tree oil, a natural preservative and acne fighter, completes the blend.
